Whatever your reason for making contact, psychotherapy can help you understand what you are going through and support you as you face difficult thoughts and feelings. Everyone can find life overwhelming at times. As a professional psychotherapist I provide a safe and confidential space in which to talk about and explore what is troubling you so that together we can start to make sense of your feelings and concerns.

The safe environment of therapy sessions enables a client to gain awareness of what they do and how they do it. Therapy allows clients recognize how they limit or control their behavior in the here and now and how that has a profound impact on their wellbeing and relationships in general. This process of self-discovery may be accompanied at times by powerful emotions such as sadness, shame, anger, grief, disappointment as well as relief, joy and pride.

I work on the Gestalt premise that all of our actions, even those viewed as negative, have a creative function. Therefore the aim is not to get rid of them but rather to own them more fully. By doing so we work with, not against your creative energy and open up the possibility to do things differently and to lead a fuller and richer life. I do this in a gentle, compassionate way with respect for your own pace whilst at the same time allowing opportunities to try different ways of expressing yourself, in the safety of the therapy session.
